user access denied, root ok

Your title is "user access denied, root ok" and
in your message you say "but 
root can't access". So I don't know what is your
problem.
You should look at the ACL (the permissions) of the
ressource that you're 
trying to get. With DavExplorer go to "Access
Control" and then "view / 
modify ACL". You'll see who (role and user) are able
to read, write,... on 
the ressource.
