Hi.

For those of you who use the windows platform to build
assets (code
and/or data), you may want to consider trying Incredibuild
to
accelerate your builds. We've been using Incredibuild with
jam for 12
months now. It requires very little, if any changes to your
jam
rules/actions. The only issue is you must have the correct
dependencies otherwise targets will built in the wrong order
(as
mentioned on the jam documentation page).

If you haven't used Incredibuild before, then it is
installed on other
windows machines and runs jobs in the background when the
machine
isn't being used. It also uses the initiating machine's
environment
(dlls, registery, etc) when running remote jobs which means
the remote
machine needs no configuration of software required to run
the job and
this makes it easy to setup and maintain.

Craig.

P.s. I don't work for Incredibuild, although I was
instrumental in
convincing them to support Jam and generic tools.
