Hi Peter,

I'm sorry for the delay. Our expert in this area is on
vacation at the
moment. Without going into detail, the basic summary is
that Swing
implements the Java Accessibility API, and that information
is fully
exposed via the Java Access Bridge. When we introduced
additions to
that API (e.g. AccessibleTable and AccessibleRelation in I
believe JDK
1.3) we likewise implemented support for them in Swing.
There are some
bugs that have been fixed in various releases; I don't have
that full
list to hand at the moment. There are some bugs on our list
that we
haven't fixed (again, don't have that list immediately to
hand). AWT
support is unchanged since I believe JDK 1.3.
