Hi at penrose,

The build instructions on http://docs.safehaus.org/display/PENROSE/Buildin
g+Penrose+Studio
for penrose studio 1.2 state that one should execute

ant build-linux

for my platform. But this target does not exist in
build.xml. I also
could not find any studio related code in branch 1.2 from

https://svn.sa
fehaus.org/repos/penrose

And: Running in eclipse seems to be also outdated:http://
docs.safehaus.org/display/PENROSE/Running+Penrose+Studio+in+
Eclipse

The README.txt of the linux binary package penrose-
studio-1.2.4-1.i386.rpm.bin, states the repository path as

https://svn
.safehaus.org/repos/penrose-mt

which also does not exist.

When I start the binary release I get the error:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Argument cannot be null

        at org.eclipse.swt.SWT.error(SWT.java:3297)

        at
org.eclipse.ui.internal.WorkbenchWindow.fireWindowOpening(Wo
rkbenchWindow.java:

...

If I try to add a conection it hangs when testing this,
without
testing saving the connection does also not work.

Please help me to understand why you publish such a mess.
Besides
that, I think penrose is a brilliant idea, but the
implementation of
it does not impress me at all so far ;=)

Regards

Martin

Uh, ahh, after deleting ~/.penrose/config.xml, which was
leftover from
a test with pensrose-studio 1.2.1, I could finally start,
add a
connection and connect!

Great

Martin

P.S.: I still would be intersted in building it from
repository and
running inside eclipse 3.3.
