Help Needed: Http Get in java

hi ,
        I have to know how do we get a HTTP Get in a
standalone code.The
requirement is like get a string from csv file  and pass the
particular
string to a JSP page using HTTP GET from a property
file.Please let me
know how to do this, any code would be helpful to me
