Well funded start up in San Francisco designing  wealth
management and asset
management solutions is looking for a Senior Java Software
Engineer.

 

Requirements:

 

Strong Technology baseline, and a desire to write code. 
Candidates need to
have most of these skills in their toolbelt and feel very
comfortable with
them 

J2EE / Middle Tier / General Tech 

Experience with JBoss, WebLogic or WebSphere 

EJB   

XML technologies 

Object Modeling (XSD, UML) 

Spring (nice to have) 

Web Development 

Struts/JSP/Tag libraries/Servlets/AJAX  

HTML/CSS/JavaScript 

Enterprise Application Experience at a product company 

Experience building thin client browser applications for
business users
(i.e. CRM, procurement, etc.) 

Experience working for a software startup company   

Understanding of common Design Patterns (J2EE and GoF) 

General skills & Intangibles 

Loyalty to the places they've worked (no job hopping every
1 year) - 5 jobs
since 2000 is a bad sign 

Eager learner - Must want to learn the Financial
Services/Wealth Management
Domain 

Collaborative, good communicator - will own a portion of the
application,
and needs to work well with Product Management, Engineering,
etc. 

Wealth Management Domain (BIG BONUS) 

Experience working for a Wealth Management Company, Advisory
company, etc. 

Understand the financial services object model, domain, most
popular
systems, etc. 

 

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
