The ideal candidate will have at least a 4-year BS in
Computer Science with
4+ years of QA experience as well as an experience in
leading a test effort
for at least one project from the early stage all the way to
production.
Requirements:
1. At least a 4-year BS in Computer Science, Applied
Math or related
field
2. Strong SQL
3. Hands on experience with ORACLE
4. Familiarity with object-oriented languages
5. Should have at least 2 years of experience testing
web applications
6. Should have at least 3 years of experience in test
planning
7. Should have at least 4 years of experience in
creating test cases
8. Should have an experience of exposure to all phases
of product
development life cycle.
9. Should posses strong troubleshooting, problem-solving
and analytical
skills
10. Solid skills in documentation and verbal and written
communication.
11. Should be able to work independently with minimal
supervision
12. Should be able to work well in high stress start-up
environment.
13. Should be able to efficiently estimate time required
for QA cycle of
a project.
Pluses:
1. DOS shell scripting (simple scripting on a level of
reading/modifying
existing scripts).
2. Unix (Basic administration, simple scripting on a
level of
reading/modifying existing scripts).
3. Perl (simple scripting on a level of
reading/modifying existing
scripts).
4. Experience testing front-end applications utilizing
C# .NET, IIS,
Internet Explorer on a Windows platform.
5. Experience testing Macromedia Flash applications
6. Experience testing backend applications utilizing
JAVA, Weblogic and
Oracle
7. CVS (certain release engineering experience is a big
plus)
8. Should have a knowledge of load/stress/performance
testing tools
(preferably with Microsoft Application Center Test).
9. Experience creating automation scripts (preferably
utilizing Silk
Test).
Future responsibilities will include but won't be limited
to:
- Taking a brand new product and based on a prototype as
well as a set of
requirements come up with test strategy, test plan and a set
of high level
test cases with minimal supervision
- Working closely with the development and marketing team to
ensure
high-quality software production
- Setting up QA environment (getting code from CVS,
compiling, deploying
binaries to an application server, setting up appropriate
configuration,
creating and loading of a test data, etc.)
- Performing client, server and DB testing, including
functional,
regression, integration, performance/load and production
testing of new
releases and upgrades
- Directly working with Customer Support, Sales and IT in
order to
troubleshoot any problems reported by customers
