Position Summary:
Linux engineering position working on new storage products.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Your job responsibilities including designing and
implementing technology for new storage products.
You will be primarily focused in working with RedHat
technology, specifically the GFS and Cluster Suite.
As a senior technical member of a larger team, you must be
able to deliver high quality code on time as well as create
and maintain design documentation for both internal and
external engineering specifications. You will be
responsible for working with the CTO in understanding
current requirements and strategy for future direction of
the product. You will be expected to actively participate
in improving engineering processes, productivity, and
technical strength.
Requirements/Preferred Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and
experience:
a.. A minimum of 10 years experience developing commercial
software.
b.. A minimum of 3 years working with RedHat Linux
c.. Must have deep technical knowledge of the internals of
RedHat GFS and/or Cluster Suite.
d.. The ability to architect and design and implement
complex solutions is required.
e.. Must be very detailed and technically oriented, with
the ability to drive problems down to their root-causes and
recommend and/or implement solutions.
f.. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and
the ability to disseminate complex technical information to
other team members.
g.. Must work well in a team environment including working
with groups outside of engineering such as test and support.
Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
