Information Technology Manager - bond
This position is located in bond, UK.
As Google's European offices continue to grow we are looking
for a very
strong technical team leader to manage a team of talented IT
professionals
across the UK and Scandinavia.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in new
office
deployments, networking and systems administration, as well
as project
management and team management experience. Working with
diverse groups to
create business cases, come up with creative solutions, and
manage extremely
compressed schedules is a typical daily experience. The
ability to identify
and prioritize IT issues that affect the day to day running
of the business
is crucial to our success.
Managing this group of highly technical individuals requires
maintaining big
picture and microscope focus simultaneously.
Requirements:
* Experience working in a global IT organization.
* Experience working with cross-cultural and geographically
distributed teams.
* The ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and
make quick
decisions with limited information.
* Experience in supporting multi-access solutions and
customers.
* Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and
customer
service skills.
* Strong project planning and management skills.
* Candidates with an exceptional track record in related
field with a
strong preference for a Computer Science or related degree
to be considered.
* Experience, with at least 2-3 proven leadership of team
and/or
projects and customer groups across large geographic areas.
* Proven experience of delivering total access,
communication and
collaboration end point solutions with a strong preference
for proven track
records of innovation in this space.
* Strong understanding of network infrastructure
environments, e.g.
LAN, WAN.
* Experience with hybrid operating systems and heterogeneous
environments.
* Effective process and documentation skills.
* Knowledge of a European Language a definite advantage.
