Enterprise Technical Support Engineer, Google Applications -
Mountain View
This position is available in Mountain View, CA.
The Google Enterprise team brings Google technology to the
corporate
marketplace. The team works with product managers and
engineers to build key
business applications and improve a product's vision, and
provides
comprehensive and responsive assistance to Google's
enterprise customers
worldwide.
Requirements:
* BS degree in Computer Science or related technical degree.
* 2+ years industry experience in technical support,
professional
services, engineering, or systems engineering.
* Understanding of Networking standards, such as HTTP, DNS,
SMTP,
IMAP, POP.
* Understanding of Web-based security standards
(cookie-based SSO,
SAML).
* Understanding of Directory-based standards (Active
Directory, LDAP).
* Hands-on experience implementing, troubleshooting, and
supporting
mail servers and other Internet-based applications.
* Strong presentational and communication skills, both
verbal and
written.
* Outstanding account management, follow-through and problem
solving
skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
* Excellent customer skills and ability to work in a variety
of
customer situations.
* Familiarity with programming/scripting in C++, Java,
Python, Perl,
JavaScript, and shell is preferred.
* Experience with developing training materials and
documentation
development is preferred.
* Past experience with hosted services technical support is
a plus.
