ERX-310 with 2 GByte SRP memory?

Has anybody ever tried to install 2 x 1 GByte SODIMM in the
ERX-310 SRP?
(Yes, I know only 1 GByte total is supported...)

Our problem is that we are well under the 16K supported IP
interfaces
on the box, but reached 96% memory usage on the SRP - at
which point
the SRP crashed and rebooted. This is with 7.2.1p0-10, which
has been
very stable for us otherwise.
