Re: VPLS with 2 interfaces on the same router

Hi,

 

Do not put the two Giga interfaces in the same site; put
them in two
separated sites and the two interfaces still in the same
VPLS as they are,
Like this:

 

routing-instances {

}

vpls {

instance-type vpls;

interface ge-0/1/0.100;

interface ge-0/1/0.200;

route-distinguisher 300:300;

vrf-target target:300:300;

protocols {

vpls {

site-range 10;

mac-table-size 100;

site vpls1 {

site-identifier 300;

interface ge-0/1/0.200;}

 

site vpls2 {

site-identifier 301 ;

interface ge-0/1/0.100;}

}

 

Use this command to track the vpls failure reason "show
vpls connections"

Why should you need to put them in two different sites? It
hasn't been
our experience that this is necessary.
