I bought a new hard Maxtor hard drive and a hard drive enclosure that

connects via USB.  I'm running Windows XP and keep it updated.  When I

installed it, all seemed fine - the computer recognized the drive and

quickly said it was installed and ready for use.  However, it doesn't

appear in Windows Explorer.  Any ideas or suggestions?
