Well, Chuck you may be inadvertently hitting "Restart," as part of your
shutdown. But, this should work: Close all running programs and Windows. Hit the
Windows key, then slowly "U," then "U" again.
If you want a re-start, hit Windows Key, U, R.

Subject: [KABC-ComputerShow] Win XP
Shutdown Reboots
Annoying problem. Everytime I try to shut down my desktop it
shuts down
and then starts up again if I'm not right there and shut off
the power.
Any help in getting it to really shut down so that I don't have
to be
there when it does?
