Now that you mention it, rogerX, I believe I have done that, back when I
used Outlook. But, the trick does not work in OE.
I have just found that when I re-check the box for Autocomplete, in OE, all
of what was in there is baaaaaak!
It is all Billy's fault.

email addresses and web site addresses from the list
Ok, I figured it out ... but be careful ... the answer make
make you feel dumb (it did me!)
To get rid of a misspelled email
address in Outlook, open a new email and start to type the email address.
Outlook will offer suggestions of which email you want to use. Scroll down
in the list to the one you want to get rid of and hit Delete on your
keyboard.
Whether you actually send the email, or just close it without
saving, Outlook will no longer remember that wrong
address.
Doh!
