It sounds like a problem with the application,
Ellen. I do not think it is the Adobe ROM chip.
Since I am not
familiar with the ins & outs of Photoshop, I cannot be too helpful.
But, other than a Google search, or checking with the Photoshop User
Forums, I would think that a re-installation would be the way to go. (I
assume there is no configuration that would disable such
functionality.)
But, there are likely going to be suggestions from folks with specific
Photoshop experience, yet to come. So, do not remove any hardware, in
the meantime.

OK, tech gods, warm up your brains. I'm asking for another person.
Here's the situation: Photoshop Elements running on Windows. The Drag
and Drop function always worked until last week. Now, if both images
are in the main workspace, the D&D of one image into another doesn't
work but the cursor changes shape indicating that all is well. The D&D
still works normally if one of the images is dragged up from the photo
bin below the workspace. Is this a program problem or could something
or other in the computer be kaputt? I'm thinking it's the former
otherwise you wouldn't be able to D&D at all.
Molto Grazie!
