GLSł is an open source semantic storage solution for
GNU/Linux that
indexes your data, extracts from it metadata and relevant
information,
allows you to organize it using queries and tags, provides
shared
schemas between applications through an API, a pseudo file
system for
backward compatibility, a web inteface, As-You-Type
searching and
more.
For more information, including video demonstrations, visit
the website:
http://www.glscube.org/
GLSł is not written for KDE, GNOME, or any specific desktop
environment. It is designed as a user-level, augmented file
system
layer with as few dependencies as possible. Currently, the
Browser is
the only component that depends on KDE, although since it
uses a
web-interface, it is easily portable.
