Thats'great, welcome!

In many ways
If you are a programmer, or want to learn to write
applications,
techbase.kde.org is the place to be. You can then set up a
KDE 4
environment, and find something to fix or improve. Just go
ahead, do
something, then contact the authors of the app you have
improved and
ask them if they like your changes. They'll get you up and
running.
You could also pick an application or project you like to
work on, and
ask for help on their mailinglist
If you are not a programmer, you can help translating
(contact your
local translation team, info can be found on the kde.org
websites. You
can write documentation, help find and fix bugs, help the
promo team
(subscribe to kde-promo kde.org) and other work can be found here:

tinvolved/
Have fun, and again, welcome!
