Does Ajax work with Konqueror 3.5.6?

I just started reading a beginner's book on Ajax and the
first Ajax website I
tried (http://www.a9.com)
did not result in the browser display shown in the
book. Does Ajax work with kde 3.5.6?

Thanks,

Unfortunately, KHTML has very poor support for AJAX based
sites in the 3.5.x
series. This is the main reason that sites like Google's
Docs and
Spreadsheets do not work in Konqueror :( I'm hoping that
this will be
different in the KDE 4.x series.

These websites are not working in Konqueror, but this has
nothing to do
with "ajax" ! It's only because there is no rich
text editor in KHTML 3.5...
Ajax is only a buzzword for XMLHttpRequest, and it works
with Konqueror.

The website http://www.a9.com is working
perfectly in Konqueror, but you must
fake the user agent to Firefox.

AJaX isn't overly portable.

There are a few things you might like to do though,
especially check that you
don't have cookies and java/javascript turned off.

Konqueror has excelent support for ajax. Be aware thought
that much ajax code
is browser-specific and might therefor not work in Konqueror
if it hasn't
been written carefully enough.

I agree, If it works in Mozila Firefox it can work with
Konqueror, at least
that is what I have noticed with AJaX services I have
developed for my
employeer, fade effects don't work and there are one or two
missing
JavaScript objects but nothing major, Some sites don't even
test it, if you
change the browser identification they work just fine
(iGoogle comes to
mind).
