Hello, fellow gamers!

In this message I tried to summarise known kdegames'
maintainers to
ease a planned mail-and-ask mission .
Note that in some cases I didn't include all persons that
were listed
as authors - if one of them had role "Maintainer"
assinged, I included
only this person.
If you find some info to be incorrect, please correct me. I
extracted
all this from AUTHORS and main.cpp-alike files.

Here it goes:

atlantik: Rob Kaper <capcapsi.com>

Hi Dimitry, thanks for stepping up to do that

Can please you post that on wiki.kde.org so we can edit
there more easily?

I think MOST of the listed people can no longer be though as
mantainers, could
you please mail them all and ask "hi, you are listed as
mantainer of game foo
of kdegames, are you still mantaining it or would you want
us to find a new
mantainer for it" and then update the wiki page?

Thanks

Albert

Hi,

I am the author of kmines, ksirtet, kfouleggs, klickety and
the
extended highscore classes. I unfortunately don't have the
time to
maitain this code and there are some annoying bugs listed
for KDE 3.5
:(

I would be happy to help people solve those problems and
further
maitain those applications...

Also it was my goal to remove the legacy highscore
infrastructure but
I never had the time. It's probably a good time to do that
for KDE 4
if somebody up to it...

Cheers,
Nicolas

He-he. Okay .

Yes.

Yes. And then we'll decide on the next step.
Perhaps that would be a "Great Call for
Maintainers"?
Or?...

Hi, Nicolas. Thanks for responding so quickly.

I would like to work on kmines, since it is mostly stable,
and the most
needed feature is a graphical overhaul, something I can use
my recent
experiences to do quickly. I would like to add optional
animations to it
as well. So count me in as a maintainer for this one.

The others all use a common shared lib, right? Dmitry, were
you not
working on porting those? I can help with the graphics if
needed, but
codewise it would be better if you or other developers
(maybe a new one?)
could tackle this.

Nice!

Mauricio Piacentini

Hey everyone,

So I tested out the compile of KOware on KDE-5 and
everything seems to
work just fine. It's been in the playground for about a year
- I think we
just need a Makefile.am and to move it over to the dist
directory. Does
anyone have feedback/suggestions about getting going with
this?

Michael Collins

aintainers

I'm doing my first wiki steps, so if anything should be
corrected just do
it ;).

Cheers, Dmitry.

Is it ported to Qt4/KDE4?
I suppose not (because you've mentioned Makefile.am, not
CMakeLists.txt) .

And kdegames' trunk uses Qt4/KDE4 so you'll have to port
this game before
continuing discussion about possibility to include it in
kdegames module ;).

Cheers,
Dmitry.
