Hi,
I want to help with KDE Games. I've been using linux for
years now and have
always wanted to contribute, but never really found time
while I was doing my
degree, but now I'm finished and have some spare time on my
hands.
I have a reasonable knowledge of C++, which I taught myself
in order to do my
final year project at university (which was to write an AI
to play the game
of Go). I have recently taught myself the basics of Qt 3 and
4 by writing a
basic asteroids clone in Qt 3 and then porting it to Qt 4.2
(including
changing all the Canvas stuff to the new Graphics View
Framework, so I know a
little of that too now), and now I want to make use of my
new skills!
So my question is, what should I do next? I really have no
idea how
far along porting games to KDE 4 you are, but I'd be happy
to help with that
if it is needed (KDE 4 sounds incredible!). Or would it be
more useful to just
do fixes for bugs in games in KDE 3?
Also, I love Kolf! So would love to do stuff related to
that.
Thanks
Paul
