Just so somebody (other than me) does commit: I don't have
a KDE svn
account.

Let me put it this way: today is going to be a learning
experience.

Do you plan on making any more patches?
If so, then perhaps you should apply for a kde svn account??

The attached patch compiles fine

Yes, if I can find a reasonable way to implement it

Right now, I've got too much beer in my head, but I'll
have a look at
the KDE pages tomorrow. Though IIRC something was there that
kept me
from doing it last time I looked...

Well, I now know why I don't think I should (quoting from
http://developer.kde.org/joining/applysvnaccount.php):
Also please apply for an account only if you think that you
will work on
KDE for a somewhat longer time. If you know that you will
only work for
a couple of weeks and then never again, please consider not
applying for
a KDE SVN account but still, do continue to send patches.
And I currently have no plans to hack on KDE (or KDevelop
for that
matter) for more than a couple of weeks...
So I'll keep sending patches to the list (the next one is
on it's way).

Your reasoning powers are good, and you are a fairly good
planner.
