I think that yes, if you can send me screenshots that would
be great. Is this 
problem for "long" types, such as strings?

I'm a little late with this, but here there are:

Debugging in KDevelop 3.3:

As you can see for the m_strPath 6 more letters are visible
in 3.3, and 
furthermore it has a horizontal scrollbar. And I don't
really see a 
problem reading pointer values in 3.3 at all.
