kmail always starts after login

Hi all,

I just noticed that kmail always starts after I log in. This
is since
I configured kontact with kolabwizzard for kolab.

I checked ~/.kde/Autostart but did not find anything. Also I
googled a
bit but didn't find the answer.

Thx for your help in advance!

Nils

Hi Nils,

if I remeber correctly, kmail is started by korganizer every
time you log in.
A workaround could be to start kontact on login by
~/.kde/Autostart or you
may switch of korganizers start by right-clicking the tray
icon and disabling
the "start on login" option.

Cheers,
Janis

Could it be something as simple as KDE saving the open apps
when you
last logged out?
Try closing down your kde apps. When you are at the kde
desktop with
nothing open, click logout, choose end session.
Log back in, is it 'fixed'?

I worked pretty long on this. I was told kalarm needs the
imap resource and
therefore opens either (depending on version) Kontakt or
Kmail.
Turn of "start alarm client at login" and you
get what you want.
It will still be started after you open Kontakt and click in
Calendar in 3.4
or do nothing in 3.5
