ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: Can't contact LDAP server (-1)

dear list,

I hv a running kolab. but since a few days I can't log into
the kolab.
whenever I try
**** ldapsearch*****  it gives error

ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: Can't contact LDAP server
(-1)

so missing ldap actually doesn't allow to log in.  I hv even
try to do
 /kolab/bin/openpkg rc openldap start

but still there is no ldap ports . *nmap localhost*  shows
taht there is
no 389 port.
how can I fix the problem ?
