Is there a good way on how to become a back-up server for
someone. The way
listed in the postfix.org readme doesn't work:
put into main.cf
 relay_domains = the.backed-up.domain.tld

   relay_recipient_maps = hash:/
..../postfix/relay_recipients

/....... /postfix/relay_recipients:
     the.backed-up.domain.tld x

This is the good way, don't put he.backed-up.domain.tld
anywhere else
except if you know what you are doing

Never used that before ! I suppose this is to reject
"early" emails
with wrong email address !
Don't use that except if you are sure to be able to keep the
recipient
list up to date !

This may be the problem. According the manual, it should be
added otherwise
e-mails could get into a loop

Assuming that you mean as Kolab Server for email.
A secondary Email host, aka DNS MX entry, should ideally
have a replicated ldap contents to directly bounce email
that the primary Kolab Server would also bounce.

One example is an non-existing user.
The primary Kolab Server will bounce such emails in the
standard
configuration as it looks them up in the directory service.
If you secondary server accepts them and then later tries
to forward them when the primary becomes available again,
you might get into difficulties.
