Thread: Problem uploading free/busy information to server

Problem uploading free/busy information to server
country flaguser name
Netherlands

Hi list,

We have installed a kolab server under Xen/Debian. I can use
it to send
E-mail, but when I try to upload free/busy info it gives me
a message:

Access was denied while attempting to upload your free/busy
list to the
URL
'https://dick.kniep%40l
indix.nlkolab.lindix_internal.nl/freebusy/%EMAIL%.ifp'

The server address that is entered in the configuration is:
https://kolab.lindix_internal.nl/freebusy/%EMAIL%.ifp

So it looks like it doesn't understand the macro %EMAIL%
(taken from the
documentation and enters the emailaddress IN FRONT of the
address.

If anyone knows what I am doing wrong, I would much
appreciate your help.
---

Cheers,
Dick Kniep

You do not mention which client you use, but you should
first check
the free/busy generation on the server (see
http://wiki.kolab.org/index.php/Kolab2_
Server_Troubleshooting_-_Free/Busy
=> section Test generation of free/busy on the web
server).

That way you'll know whether it is a client or a server
problem.

Cheers,

Gunnar

Hi list,

Some more information:

When I open the URL in the browser, I get the correct
information from the
server:

BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID:-//proko2//freebusy 1.0//EN
METHOD:PUBLISH VERSION:2.0
BEGIN:VFREEBUSY ORGANIZER:MAILTO:dick.knieplindix.nl

DTSTAMP:20070315T180104Z
URL:h
ttp://kolab.lindix_internal.nl/freebusy/dick.knieplindix.nl.ifb
DTSTART:20070315T000000Z DTEND:20070514T000000Z
FREEBUSY:20070315T150000Z/20070315T153000Z END:VFREEBUSY
END:VCALENDAR

Note however, that the name of the kolab server is
kolab.lindix_internal.nl,
so it is NOT the same as the mail domain, but I thought that
that should be
no problem. At least, the server answers nicely above.

That should not be a problem since you also entered the
correct server
address in the free/busy URL.

If you followed the advice at
http://wiki.kolab.org/index.php/Kolab2_
Server_Troubleshooting_-_Free/Busy
then you probably also checked the GET requests directed
from your
client to the apache server. Do these look as expected?

Cheers,

Gunnar
