Hello Kolab people
Quick question regarding Kolab 2.1 and multiple domains:
Example is I have a company called company1.com so email
address is
john company1.com but they also own domain name
company2.com and want to
receive email to john company2.com as well. When emailing
john company1.com
or john company2.com both emails should go to the same
person.
This can be achieved through modifying the user "Email
Aliases" field through
the web-interface and that will achieve the goal.
However is their a simpler way to do this, because if there
are 200 email
accounts can you not make any email address company1.com also work for the
email addresses company2.com so that you do not have to
add email aliases to
every user individually?

You should be able to achieve this via the postfix
configuration. You
can setup a virtual_map there that rewrites on of the
domains to the
other domain. Using a regex map might be one possibility but
I am
certain there are other ones too.
Cheers,
Gunnar

Hmmm, thanks for this! I'll read into this and post if I get
it working!
Thanks,

You can add this line in
/kolab/etc/kolab/templates/virtual.template
company2.com company1.com
this will make the job

Hi Alain,
Cool - thanks so much for this answer!
I'll do some tests and post my findings with
"aliasing" 3 or more domains.

Yes this worked perfectly!
My example is like so
company2.com company1.com
company3.com company1.com
company1.co.za company1.com
etc
/kolab/sbin/kolabconf
Thanks Alain!
