Thread: Kernel Upgrade?

Kernel Upgrade?

Hi All,

I was wondering whether a 2.6 kernel upgrade could cause any
problems with
kolab? Currently running on an old 2.6.8 (debian), and I'm
having some
memory issues that I'd like to get rid of.

Regards,

Simon Barrett

I don't remember any kernel related problems in the Kolab
Server. I
guess chances are pretty low that this should affect your
server.

There is a hypothesis that some 2.6 kernels before 2.6.19.2
can cause
problems with the skiplist.db format, if this is used by
Cyrus to store
mailboxes and annotations.

Details see kolab/issue840 (Annotations needs to be more
robust (skiplist
problems, ext3, Linux)).

Best Regards,
Bernhard
