Outlook and Thunderbird calendars

Are Outlook and Thunderbird calendars supposed to be able to
interchange 
data using Kolab?  I have both Lightning and SyncKolab
installed and 
don't see how to share with an Outlook calendar--or with a
calendar 
created in Kolab as a shared folder.  I figure my next step
is to sign 
up on one of their mailing lists for more information.  But
first, I  
wanted to check whether it is possible.

as the Thunderbird plugin is still under heavy development
I'd still
expect a few problems here and there. So I'd contact their
mailing
list in case of problems. For the Outlook connectors I'd not
expect
any siginificant problem. I tried that myself once and I
found no
significant incompatibilites between the different clients
(at least
when it comes to event sharing).
