pear install Log fails

Hello ,

I'm trying to install the horde web client , for that some
extra's were 
necessary , one of them the Log extension, which needs
SQLite.
So I installed the SQLite extension :

Installing
'/var/tmp/pear-build-root/install-SQLite-1.0.3//kolab/lib/p
hp/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429/sqlite.so'
install ok: SQLite 1.0.3
-------------------------
It says install ok , so I assume , that means it is
installed , but when I try
to install next the Log extension , I get the following
error :

What is happening here ?
How do I make it clear to the system that the
sqlite extension is actually installed , are there
any configuration changes necessary, and where?
