For those people using the Kommander database plugin or
thinking about it, now
is a good time. I need to get some feedback. Right now it is
rock stable, but
I haven't tested transactions, which I think may have
issues, and I think I
need to rework the connect function for Sqlite because I
don't think you will
likely have user names and such. I really haven't used
Sqlite much, but I'd
like some feedback there.
I just released a new version with a new function to search
the field in a
recordset for values. The field value functionality now also
accepts either
the index or field name. If you work with Postgres or MySql
there is a last
id function where you call your insert just like always, but
your return
value is the last key! How easy is that? You can navigate
through record sets
and more.
My next objective which I may or may not do on KDE 3x but
plan for KDE4.1 is
to offer functions to bind widgets to fields and
automatically create all the
required signals and slots to make a complete setup for
table editing. KDE4
will have relational master-slave table editing and more.
