Speaking of dynamic loading of effects, I wonder why noone
has answered 
my "Effect API additions" mail yet???

I think you should make sure whitespace changes are not
included in your patch 
as it makes them difficult to read. E.g. see the end of this

 Because it requires quite some thinking about the design
and I haven't really 
yet found time for that and saying something sensible.
Sorry. I'll try to 
have a look at that mail and these soon.
