Hello list-

I'm running Bering uClibc v3.0Beta2.

I'm booting from CD and storing leaf.cfg, configdb.lrp and
moddb.lrp on
a USB flash drive.

In the process of editing the contents of moddb.lrp offline
I've
encountered something I haven't seen before.

I copied moddb.lrp from the flash drive to a directory on a
Windows box,
renamed it to moddb.tgz, and decompressed it using 7-zip.
This gives me
the expected directory structure, libmodules, under the
directory
where the .tgz file is located, with a bunch of module files
in the
modules directory.

If I copy the same moddb.lrp file from the flash drive to
/tmp on my
LEAF box, rename it, gunzip it, un-tar it, I get directory
structure
/lib/modules under /tmp with only one module file in the
modules directory.

How can this be?

If I do the same thing with configdb.lrp and look at the
extracted
/etc/modules file I also see different content on the
Windows box than
on the LEAF box.
