I've been waiting for beta 3 (of uClibc 3.1) to fix the
dhcpcd
(actually busybox) showstopper in beta 2. It came out while
I was
traveling. Normally I wouldn't upgrade my LEAF box while
outside the
network, but the airport shuttle I traveled home on had
WiFi, and so
an hour from home decided to give it a try. I added modules
for ext2
to the new initrd.lrp, dropped the contents of the new
floppy image on
top of the old, merged my leaf.cfg changes in, rebooted, and
held my
breath -- and a minute later was able to ssh back in. The
new
configdb stuff is great. LEAF is great! Thanks to all the
contributors.
But hey, one question: I'm running on a WRAP box and so must
use the
module wd1100 (replacing softdog) or the box won't reboot --
I have to
physically pull the plug. If I boot without the module
installed, is
there any way to add it later? I would *expect* that
calling insmod
with the same parameters as are listed in /etc/modules would
do the trick,
but it does not. What am I missing?
Thanks,
--Eric
