It may be overkill, but just think about this, with many
ports iptables
do not necesarily grow in a linear fashion. Also ipsec may
add some more
need for cycles. In my case, with experience on NSA 1125,
I can say it
is probably overkill, unfortunately I found no other box
with that
number of interfaces on PCI-express.
Still no news on the LAN chips for now. Anyway, I might be
forced to
look at a 2.6 kernel in the future. Not entirely in line
with LEAF as it
is for now, but we may need to think about it.
