I've not been able to do any thorough tests (some day, when
there is
time, I'd like to see what kind of throughput the box can
handle - if
there's even more time, using a custom openssl setup , that
will use the
special hardware available (like the crypto support, which
might help
openvpn, unless the extra calls from userspace to
kernelspace eat up all
the benefits one gets from doing things in hardware instead
of software
- I don't know about that yet).
But in short, at first glance, the boxes look fine to me.
They boot just
fine using the standard Bering uClibc image (well, after
adding the
network modules). I have no experience how they'll behave
under heavy
load, but so far, things look good.
