Sony VaioWon't Turn ON!!!

Hi all,
I have sony vaio vgn series since 1 year ago, working normally and
having good performance, unfortunately some days ago, when i left turn
on the notebook, suddenly the power goes off (Running with Battery). I
plug in the adaptor but the LED still blind, i tried to put off my
battery and using the adaptor but still wont turn on again. i went to
the service centre but they said the problem is from mainboard (i must
buy a new mainboard) the BIGGEST PROBLEM is it worth 800 US DOLLARS!!!!!
Guys, i need some tips with cheap cost..
