Well,
It's been almost a week since I posted my problem, and have yet to
hear any suggestions. So, I went ahead and experimented a little on
my
notebook. Removed the 3 tiny screws holding my cd-rom drive in
place,
carefully removed it from it's installing bay; and inspected
it to see if
the damage was externally. I then proceeded to open the
cd-rom drive
itself, and see if the damage was reversible, or
fixable. Upon removing
the top aluminum cover to the slimtype CD-
drive, I discovered a loose
screw lodge to the (very) back of my cd-
sliding tray. Upon removing the
screw, the cd-tray locked back into
place, the way it's supposed to do
when it was working properly. I
then put the cd-drive together again. And
placed it back in it s
drive bay. And it's back to working properly, like
a charm.
