Hello,
I have a Gateway Solo 5300 laptop that just this morning will no
longer boot. It worked fine yesterday.
When the power button is depressed, the 'on' light illuminates for
approximately 2-3 seconds, and then goes out. I cannot hear any drive
activity nor fan.
Other things that have been checked: removed battery and reinserted,
hooked up to AC power, removed case and checked all connections.
Others have posted similar problems with other models and it has been
suggested that a fuse on the MB may be the culprit; however, I cannot
locate a fuse. Does anyone have any information on this, or what the
problem could be?
