Have in my hands a cute little laptop that displays only some vertical 

lines and then goes gray. Haven't had any experience with Sonys but 

have done a bunch of Dells,IBM and HP/Compaqs. Can anyone let me know 

the trick to getting the screen off to check connectios or where I 

might get instructions? This is in beautiful shape-would be a shame to

Some 
laptops have screws in the rear under covers, most are like you are used to with 
covers over screws in the bezel then unsnap around the edge with fingers only. 
Not familiar enough with these to give you exact details.
