I noticed my laptop was running very slowly the day before I joined
this group and read this series of messages...
Reading them prompted me to check my Pavilion zd8000 laptop for
airflow blockage. I had noticed the cooling fans looked dusty.
I'm not a professional--more of an amateur PC repair guy. I've bought
some cheap older laptops on eBay and taken them apart and put them
back together. Thank goodness for service manuals online!
I've taken some as-found pictures of the cooling fins on my Pavilion.
Thought some of you might like to see what is being discussed.
I'll try to figure out how to post them for the group to view.
