Dell Lattitude C610 Laptop Display problems using W98 SE

Hi all,

I am trying to help a friend.
She purchased a Dell Lattitude C-610, that had been wiped to conform
to DOD (Gov) standards.

The Laptop was sold without an Operating system.
She's a Mom on a budget and would like to save a few bucks by using a
readly available Win98 SE disk.

The problem is that the Dell C-610 display after loading Win98, gives
you two display options, 16 colors or 2 colors.

This results in a small screen and some blurry colors and icons.

How do I repair this problem?

I read a post somewhere on the web, that I could press FN+F8 and this
would fix the screen size. It did, but it also blurs the colors and
the icons thus adding to the distortion.

Does anyone know of a site or a way to install the proper files or
make the proper adjustments to get a decent screen image?
