Upgrading Compaq C502US Processor

I am upgrading from a Celeron M 440 (Yonah)to a Core 2 Duo T7200. The
motherboard is an HP 30C6, Intel 945PM/GM/GT/940GML Chipset with BIOS
ver. F.24. Intel engineers told me it is compatable, but there may be
BIOS issues and other blocks put in place by Compaq. All help is
appreciated. Thank you.
