Hi you all...here we come to the old subject of the
(insert expletive
here) compaq 1200 :o(
Got a 1200 XL101 which I still haven't fixed. Looking
for a faster Flash
ROM.
Today I got a 1200 XL118, seems untouched, but with the
BIOS chip fried.
I flashed another one and installed. This time, not even the
BIOS
address/data bus seemed to work. Contacted compaq and they
said the bios
from the 118 is different from the 101. Of course, I used
the bios from the
101, since compaq says they don't have the 118 bios for
download. Is is true
the 118 bios is different from the 101? Any help on this
subject and how can
I find the correct bios file?
