T22 MB's can be picked up on E Bay at reasonable cost
in the 2 figure range. I just purchased one myself and
installed it to overcome start up problems,,,, the
laptop works fine now. Best if you can buy one
already mounted in the base since it will reduce the
amount of disassembly needed to install the new MB. If
you have another computer you can access the service
manual on the IBM site and follow the instructions for
removal and replacement of the MB. An alternate way to
get these instructions is to head for the local
library and access the data there and print the
relevant pages. If you decide to personally acquire
and change the MB yourself feel free to contact me and
I will share a few tips. Dave T
