I've
seen a few, only because at UPS-SCS's Toshiba depot we had access to some
engineering docs. Otherwise same here, no schematics since about the 1988 era
when they were portables rather than laptops.
In the 10 years I have been working on laptops,. I have NEVER seen a
schematic for ANY laptop, none whatsoever. I doubt they actually exist,
at least in anything like a service manual format technicians are used
to. There are probably rough engineering drawings over in Taiwan in a
filing cabinet somewhere, but I have a feeling that looking at a bunch
of parallel lines from a 32 bit processor is not going to do me much
good anyway. Even if I can figure out that the problem is a loose
connection on pin 117 underneath the video chip, what good is that
infomation going to do me anyway? I can't replace it with the
technology I have at my disposal. A partital schematic of the power
regulating system would be nice once in a while to maybe fix a charging
problem, but even those "Giant" sized components are not easy to replace
without damaging the delicate traces.

Not True!!! I have a large collection of full schematics for laptops.
They most certainly do exist. How do you think they build them? They
HAVE to have schematics, its like building a house without an
architectural plan. The factory will also refurbish a lot of boards so
a schematic exists 1000000%
Now, MOST brands dont actually build or design their own motherboards!
80% of them are build by companies like Quanta, Wistron, Compal, etc.
HP or Acer will buy 500,000 or more boards. They customise a BIOS for
them and the company will put their own branded plastics on them.
The diagrams are very very complex, so you really have to know what
you are doing for them to be of use to you.
I wont give or sell any so please dont ask, but I will trade
schematics for ones I dont have. Also dont ask how I got them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
