Hey gang... I have an Acer aspire 3000 that turns on but intermitantly will not display an 

image on its LCD. An external monitor displays the desktop. I took the hard drive out and 

boted to a Linux CD. When the machine booted to the disc, the image appeared on the 

laptop's LCD, but it had been blank all through startup. any ideas?
