How to install Windows Xp in Compaq presario c700

Hi guys my friend is having presario c700 laptop just a new one he
told me to install Windows XP the laptop is already preloaded with
Windows Vista,When i tried to boot it using windows XP boot cd it just
shows a blank black screen for a long time and it does not respond.
How to solve this problem thanks in Advance. i need to install a fresh
copy of Windows XP without VISTA i hate vista, and also as i am new
user of Internet i need some links where to find Driver for that

I recently got the same laptop. Hopefully someone else here will give
you better advice, but for now you might take a look at the following.
