I have one of these laptops that I am working on that has erratic behavior. The laptop sometimes boots to a black screen or sometimes a dim screen and other times it will boot perfectly. Every now and then it will blue screen and the mouse is acting strange by jumping around on the screen and highlighting things as well as clicking on links that I have not clicked. Windows first indicated that the hard drive had some bad sectors but supposedly took care of them. I took the laptop online to the hp system health site to check certain things and it came back clean even though this does not test a lot of things.Does anybody know where I can get the recovery discs that have the E diagnostic tools? I am going to replace the hard drive and see if that helps. The laptop is not
overheating and the bios has been flashed to the most recent version.
